DROP/STRIP SETS

If the phrase Drop or Strip Set is new to you, that’s fine.

They are both easy to learn and highly effective.

To clarify; A Drop Set and a Strip set are one and the same thing. They are just known by these two different names. From here on out we will refer to them as Drop Sets.

CORRECT TECHNIQUE

Performing Drop Sets are simple.

All you need to do is choose any exercise and then perform as many reps that you can at a weight heavy enough for you to lift 4 times.

Then you ‘Drop’ the weight by one (Notch on a machine, or one weight if using Dumbells or Barbells) and continue to perform as many reps as you can using strict form.

This process continues until you have moved all the way up the rack or machine notches until you are using the lightest weight available.

This is performed with NO REST.

Because Drop Sets are so intense they should only be performed periodically when the body has reached a plateau and needs to be shocked back into extreme growth.

THE BIG-TIME BENEFITS OF DROP SETS

The reason why Drop Sets are so good is because they take the muscle group to a previously unknown level of fatigue.

By starting off with a heavy weight and getting progressively lighter, you are utilizing both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres, which means muscles get bigger, stronger and more defined.

Rest and food intake are vital after Drop Sets in order to gain the maximum benefit from this incredible exercise variant.
