I would like to know how many calories should I burn in a good cardio workout?

I am 35yrs old, 5′11 and weigh 190lbs. My goal is to loose weight and most importantly do total body toning. I currently burn about 300 calories(4 days a week) in a 45 minute cardio workout. I also do weight training 4 days a week.
I think that you are on target and doing well! I myself am doing approx. 300 calories in my 30 minute workout 6 days a week…you could probably do a little more in 45 minutes, but it depends on if you are a "workout beginner" or "experienced." Either way, you ARE going to see weight loss and toning at your current level…

ummm lets see well you are suppose to get 60minutes of exercise a day if that helps, and i think that it depends on what you eat if you worried about how many cal your burning, like if you eat a doughnut that is 60 calories and then only do something that burns 25 calories then you arent going to lose weight.
In your case if you want to burn 400 calories then eat a meal that is only 370 so you start losing weight.
