Do you burn more calories if you refuse water while doing cardio exercise for 35 mins?

I wanted to know if you would burn more calories while exercising if you didn’t take water. My bf thinks he is making it harder on himself (and thus burning more calories) if he refuses to take water. When he does drink water during cardio exercise, then he says he feels like he is making it easier on himself. I just want to know if there is any truth to this. Thanks!
Wow! He is really making his workout miserable. It’s absolutely ridiculous (and potentially harmful) not to drink water while working out. If he needs to make things harder on himself, he can crank up the intensity! He will probably work out longer and harder with proper hydration.

No, you don’t burn more calories. One pound equals 3500 calories. Pure water has 0 calories. Diet professor recommend that you drink a liter and a half per day. GOOD LUCK!

water has no calories so basically it just makes you feel more bloated if you drink during your exercise. this will cause you to exercise for a shorter period of time. not completely sure though…

he is def making it harder on himself by not drinking water – but only because he is dehydrating himself not because he is burning more calories. he might actually burn more calories if he drank some water because then he would last longer than 35 mins.

Nope.
YOu should drink lemon juice. Have a tall glass of water ready b4 doing cardio.
1st one month: Do 30mins of brisk walk.
2nd month: Do 15mins of jogging
3rd month: Do 5 mins of sprint.
PS: remember to do 5 mins warm up and warm down. The above is minimum for your schedule

Katy (above) is right…if you DON’T drink water while exercising, it can be bad for you. You’re more likely to become dehydrated, which can make you tire out more easily.
You don’t want to drink too much, either, though. That’s one of the worst feelings, trying to work out with water sloshing around in your stomach. So have him SIP water while working out.
