What cardio workout would help my abs more? Stair master or cross trainer?

I’m trying to get a flatter stomach, and am going to try and get a cardio workout in every day.

Can you avoid an exercise plateau for a longer time f your cardio exercise is high intensity?

Can you avoid an exercise plateau if your cardio exercise is high intensity. For example I run stairs for 20 minutes and do weightlifting and some crunches and push ups for another 30 minutes. With this will it take longer for me to hit a plateau?
