			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m trying to lose weight.. I&#8217;m 6&#8242;1&quot; and about 210 and I want to hit 160 if possible. I was told that eating small and healthy, natural foods + daily cardio exercise = weight loss. However I have asthma and my idea if cardio is jogging and running and maybe aerobics. Sadly I can hardly run about 200 feet without having to use an inhaler. I&#8217;m really wanting to lose weight and it really bothers me that it seems harder than i thought.. Any tips or advice???<br />
<br />Ah&#8230; This is really tough. You will need to sloooowly get your lungs into shape so you can go longer distances at a moderate pace. Try doing yoga breathing exercises every day, maybe 30 minutes straight. Hop on the exercise bike and do go as long as you can at a slow pace (50-70 rpm). Bicycling is less aerobic and breathing intensive, so you can burn calories without having to breath really hard. If you work at it, I think you could end up going 1-2 hours straight without having to breath really hard.</p>

<br />Running helps your abs A TON. If you run for about a half hour, then do your ab workout, you&#8217;ll be building more muscle for your buck. Reason being after your running, you can take a break then do some ab workouts, take a break and finish up. But if you stop during running it screws everything up, and allows oxygen to regenerate everything so your like new. So in short Run then Workout.</p>

<p>1. Works and strengthens your heart and lungs by revving up your heart rate and increasing your lung capacity to take in more oxygen. As a result, you keep your heart and lungs in strong and fit condition to prevent heart &amp; lung diseases;</p>
<p>2. Kickstarts your metabolism higher so you&#8217;ve higher fat-burning capacity, to burn off excess body fat from your entire body, to lose weight; and</p>
<p>3. Builds up your cardio-respiratory (heart &amp; lung) endurance</p>
<p>Good cardio exercises are many such as:</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I normally try to do a 40 min cardio workout 3-5 times a week. However, I am often strapped for time afterwork now with the kids being in school. I am wondering if instead of doing one 40 minute cardio workout if I did two 20 min cardio workout in a day would I get the same weight loss effect?<br />
<br />Yes you can, however I think your meal timing is also of importance here.</p>
<p>If you are performing Low Intensity cardio, it&#8217;s best to have your glycogen stores fairly low prior to your session.</p>
<p>I would set it up like this:</p>
<p>1st session &#8211; 20 mins a.m. fasted LI cardio</p>
<p>2nd session &#8211; 20 mins p.m. LI cardio with no carbs 2-3 hours prior to session</p>
<p>If you are performing medium or high intensity cardio sessions then I think the meal timing is not as important.</p>

<br />Depends on how much you weigh, I put a chart (guessing at 150 lbs) for Jumping jacks and Jumping rope, rope is far better if you have the ceiling height in your room as it is really close to running a mile.  Use this website for any activity, even sleeping and see what you burn.</p>
