When you are working out and trying to get in shape, one of the hardest things to do is to overcome distractions.
This is a big part of the reason why many people initially make the choice to work out at home. For them, going to the gym is a struggle. They question how they look in comparison to the other people who are there. They see a wide variety of free weights, or weigh plates, or weight machines and of cardio equipment.
And, somehow, all of the choices leave them unsure of how to even get started. Either that, or they find some pieces of equipment that they are comfortable with and never move beyond it – even if other machines would be better for helping them to reach their fitness goals.
Of course, there are other distractions in the gym as well. All of the other people and all of the other equipment often leads to a lot of noise. Other health and fitness club members talk. And then there is the noise of weight plates in the stack clanking together between repetitions. There’s the thud of dropped metal weight plates.
And, while health and fitness clubs could make the choice to use solid rubber weights or rubber encased weight plates to cut back on the noise, quite simply, many do not.
Solid rubber bumper plates, solid rubber weight plates and rubber encased weight plates are just as effective for creating definition and building lean muscle as their metal counterparts. And that is just one part of why they make an excellent choice for home exercise rooms.
Home exercise rooms that are set up so that, while you are working out, you are not distracted by other things going on in your home are a great way of clearing your head. You won’t be distracted by waiting for the weightlifting equipment you need to be available. You won’t have to listen to the clang of weight stacks hitting.
Instead, you will be able to grab just what you are looking for right away. This is the case in particular if you choose to add solid rubber weights in primary colors to your home exercise equipment. Want to be sure that you are grabbing a ten pound weight plate? That won’t be a problem if you have green rubber ten pound plates.
Similarly, you’ll be able to choose 25 pound yellow solid rubber weight plates, or thirty-five pound blue solid rubber weight plates or even forty-five pound red solid rubber plates. Or, if you do not want colorful equipment, you will have the option of purchasing simple, black solid ribber weights or black rubber-encased weight plates.
Whether you choose colorful bumper plates or stick to basic black, you’ll find that the rubber or rubber encased weights cut down on the clanking of traditional metal plates. And, as an extra bonus, when your weight plates are made of or encased in rubber, you will be able to cut down on the distraction of worrying that a dropped weight could cause damage to your home.
Solid rubber and rubber encased weights are less likely to mark your walls and floors. They are also less likely to cause damage if dropped.
So go ahead, focus on working out, focus on sculpting and toning your body. Let go of the distractions; let solid rubber and rubber encased weight plates be the staple in your weightlifting equipment.
